SportsVerse Partners With OffBall!
It's an All-Star pairing. Here's what to expect going forward.
Hi friends! I have exciting news. SportsVerse is officially teaming up with sports-culture platform OffBall, which has quickly become a go-to source of mine since it launched last year. OffBall speaks about sports in a way that resonates with me, highlighting the athletes, creators and innovators driving the culture forward. I’m excited to team up with them and tap into that network.
It’s a match made in heaven: while OffBall and its must-read daily newsletter will continue to provide curation of content around the internet celebrating the beauty and culture of sport, SportsVerse is the destination for bi-weekly deep-dives on the converging worlds of sports, fashion, culture and business.
Since launching SportsVerse in December, I’ve been overwhelmed by support from so many of you—ex-colleagues, former sources, longtime readers, execs, students, and all of you kind people from the internet. SportsVerse has seen hundreds of sign-ups in the last week alone, so I wanted to take the chance to tell all of you (including my Mum, who signed up two days ago) what it’s all about, what to expect going forward and why you made the best decision ever.
Firstly, thanks for being here! I appreciate every read, comment, share and sign-up.
For those who don’t know me, my name is Dan. I spent the last three-and-a-half years working as a reporter at The Business of Fashion, where I founded the publication's first ever sports-focused vertical, covering industry titans like Nike and the converging worlds of luxury and sport.

After leaving that role, I realized I still wanted a platform to connect with my readers and OffBall helped serve me that opportunity by partnering to launch something that sits squarely in the culture of sports and the intersection of sports, fashion and culture. So SportsVerse was born.
Going forward, here’s what you can expect:
Two deep-dive features per week in your inbox every Tuesday and Thursday. (Plus additional stories if I’m feeling generous.)
Exclusive interviews with the people shaping the worlds of sports culture and sportswear, including athletes, entrepreneurs, creatives and executives.
Covering the biggest sports brands in the world, from Nike and Adidas to On and New Balance.
Insights, including the three most important things I’m watching in sports culture and business each week.
SportsVerse is still completely free to read.

Thanks again, and don’t forget to check out today’s newsletter featuring SportsVerse’s first ever athlete interview, in which A’ja Wilson talked me through designing her long-awaited A’One signature sneaker, keeping details secret from her parents, and why there's never been a better time for her to launch a signature collection with Nike.
